DONATIONS AND CHARITIES TO HELP WITH HURRICANE HELENE

Here is a list of charities where the money will go to those in need and not the corporation employees:

Samaritan’s Purse ~ Why I didn’t think of them before, I don’t know. I guess I associated them with Christmas and the shoe boxes (which we love doing every year) and stupidly forgot that they are not just those

 

Red Feather Equine Sanctuary ~ These people are trying to get to all the stranded and trapped horses in the area.

Mountain Mule Packer Ranch ~ This company is buying supplies and packing them into areas no one can reach with their mules! FYI: A spammer duplicated their Venmo account, so double-check the last four digits of their phone number, which is 1383. You can see all their updates and information on their Facebook page. You can also meet the mules!

Lutheran World Relief ~ I’m not familiar with them, but someone told me about them. They say the board is not compensated, so all donations go to those in need.

Pawfect Match Rescue & Rehab ~ They are an animal rescue currently taking on animals who have been displaced or surrendered because the owners can’t care for them right now. They are 100% volunteer-based, and their employees receive no compensation. They have a main site (the link in the name) and a special DISASTER LINK.

Mercury One ~ Mercury One earned a four-star rating and a 100% score from Charity Navigator in 2022. It was founded by Glen Beck, and 100% of the donations go to those in need.

Cajun Navy 2016 ~ Cajun Navy Search and Rescue is a nonprofit corporation committed to citizen-led search and water rescue.

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue ~ Their shelter is located in Ashville. The building was completely flooded, and they’ve lost everything.

Animal Protection Society of Caswell County ~ They are in a dire situation with an overflow of surrendered dogs due to the hurricane.
